Brittikirppisten leluosastot ovat tavallisesti pullollaan muoviroinaa ja pölyisiä pehmoleluja, mutta joskus tekee hienoja löytöjä, kun kohdalle osuu jotain oikeasti vanhaa.
Tämän puisen keppitiikerin löysin aamuisella pyöräreissullani muutaman kilometrin päähän Wythamiin. Bongasimme eilen kyltin car boot salestä ja sinnehän minun oli päästävä tonkimaan. Mukava rouva pyysi tiikeristä huimat 50 pennyä. Kotona pyyhin sen puhtaaksi ja tein sille uuden hihnan.

When it comes to toys at British thrift stores and flea markets, they're usually a bunch of plastic junk and dusty soft toys. But when you find something old, made of wood or metal, it's probably something pretty amazing.
This morning I cycled a couple of kilometres to Wytham Village to have a look around at a car boot sale. I felt so happy strolling around there on my own. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I just love browsing through other people's old stuff (I've heard I'm not alone).
Anyway, I found this magnificent wooden "hobby tiger"! I believe it could be quite old. At home I cleaned it and made a new leash for it. And you'd never guess how much the nice lady asked for it - 50 pence.
